The Classic at Silverstone is the world’s biggest classic motor racing festival. It’s an epic weekend for the whole family with historic motorsport at its heart and entertainment for all ages. It’s got historic motorsport at its heart and entertainment for all ages. You’ll enjoy 20+ races, over 10,000 classic cars on display, live music concerts, a free vintage funfair, and so much more! Tickets start from just £47 and kids under 11 go free.
Originally planned for 2020, The Classic will mark their 30th anniversary this year with over 1,000 historic cars competing in 20+ races across the weekend. There’s a spectacular ‘Greatest Hits’ racecard planned, including F1, GT, sports and touring car showdowns.
Friday is all about the qualifying where you’ll get to see every car on track between 09:00 and 19:00. Saturday hosts a packed schedule of races including historic touring cars (1966-1990), F1 cars from the golden age (1966-1985) and the hugely popular Classic Mini Challenge. Sunday’s highlights include a race for Pre-War Sports Cars (from the 1920s and ‘30s) and a special 60th Anniversary E-Type Challenge race.
There’s also loads of off-track activities to provide flat-out fun for the whole family. As well as getting to view over 10,000 classic cars on display, there are driving activities for all ages, a free vintage funfair, a shopping village, dynamic demonstrations, and more. Plenty to keep kids (and big kids!) entertained. Each ticket includes free access to the paddocks and grandstands, allowing you to get up close and personal with the historic race cars and choose your favourite spot to watch the racing.
A live music concert takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings (which is included in the ticket price!). This year, music will cover the decades since The Classic started in 1990. Scouting for Girls are headlining on Friday evening, while The Brand New Heavies and Aswad will perform on Saturday. An incredible way to finish the day!
